Located on the Western slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains, residents live in isolated pockets scattered between Yosemite National Park, the Stanislaus National Forest, Bureau of Land Management lands, and Federally recognized Indian lands. Does this In-Between-Place where civilization gives way to wilderness create a Liminal gateway?
Following a suture where two tectonic plates have met, Tuolumne County lies directly on a seam of gold bearing quartz that stretches across the County running up to 4 miles wide and 49 feet thick! Does the complex magnetic fields produced by these geophysical anomalies be the reason for the high incidence of oddities and occurrences?
Dr Michael Persinger’s Tectonic Strain Theory (TST) and Paul Devereux’s Earthlights Theory seek to explain the correlation between the effects of geomagnetic activity and sightings of unidentified flying objects , cryptids, and increased clairvoyant and telepathic abilities.
